Vienna
Vienna is the capital of Austria. It is the largest in the country with a population of 1.9 million. The Danube River flows through Vienna and the Low Alps rise to the south. The exact foundation of Vienna is not known, but there was a settlement here 500 years before Christ. At the beginning of the 1st millennium, the Romans had a fortified camp here and the city was called Vindobona. In the 12th century, the construction of the Cathedral of St. Stephen, the University was founded in 1365. In the Middle Ages, Vienna became the seat of the Habsburg Dynasty. In 1683, the Battle of Vienna took place near the city, which stopped the Turkish expansion into Europe. After the battle, Europeans found sacks of coffee in the besieged camp, and the first coffee shop in the Western world was opened in Vienna. Interesting monuments here are the Cathedral of St. Stephen's Town Hall, Hofburg Am Graben Street, UNESCO-listed Schonbrunn Palace.
Melk
Melk is located in the federal state of Lower Austria. The town is located on the banks of the Danube, west of Vienna. The Melk Abbey is included in the Wachau region on the UNESCO list. Today's baroque building of the abbey was built between 1702 and 1746. https://www.visitmelk.com/

Baden bei Wien
Baden bei Wien lies south of Vienna. It is a typical spa town whose history begins more than 2000 years ago. Baden is on the UNESCO list as part of the Great Spa Towns of Europe. Schneeberg
The Schneeberg is a mountain 2,076 meters (6,811 ft) high. It is located south of Vienna. It is the highest mountain in Lower Austria and the northernmost and easternmost mountain exceeding 2000 m in the Alps. It is a great place for hiking, on clear days you can see as far as the Czech Republic. The Schneeberg Railway (Schneebergbahn) also runs up the mountain.
