Nuremberg
Nuremberg is a historic city in Bavaria, Germany, located on the Pegnitz River. It has a population of about 545,000 inhabitants, while the metropolitan area has around 3.6 million residents. The city covers an area of approximately 187 sq/km (72 sq/mi). The original settlement dates back to the 9th century, and Nuremberg was first officially mentioned in 1050. During the Middle Ages, it became the Free Imperial City of Nuremberg, gaining wealth from important European trade routes. In 1806, the city became part of Bavaria. Major attractions include the Imperial Castle, Hauptmarkt square, the Gothic fountain Schöner Brunnen, and the Frauenkirche church. Other important religious landmarks are St. Lorenz Church and St. Sebald Church. The historic center is filled with medieval streets, bridges, and half-timbered houses. Museums include the famous German Railway Museum, one of the oldest railway museums in the world. The main shopping street is Königstrasse. Local gastronomy is famous for Nürnberger sausages, Lebkuchen gingerbread, roast pork, and Franconian beer.
Bamberg
Bamberg is a historic city in northern Bavaria. The population is 80,000. The city was included in the UNESCO list in 1993. Bamberg is mentioned as early as 902. The Old Town and its medieval streets and squares, the Bamberg Cathedral or the Town Hall, which I often photograph, are beautiful. https://en.bamberg.info/

Bayreuth
Bayreuth is a city in the north of Bavaria, through which the river Roten Main flows. The population is around 75,000. The city experienced its Golden Age in the 17th and 18th centuries, when it was the seat of a margrave. There is the Neues Schloss and the Hermitage. And it is from this period that the architectural gem, the Margravial Opera House Bayreuth, comes. This Baroque building is unique of its kind and is therefore listed on the UNESCO list.
