Glasgow is the largest city in Scotland and the third largest in Great Britain. The population is 630,000 and the whole has 1.86 million people. The region in which it lies is called the Lowlands. Glasgow is in west central Scotland and lies on the banks of the Clyde and Kelvin rivers. Glasgow began to develop after 1100. The cathedral began to be built in 1118. Glasgow Bridge was completed in 1268. At the beginning of the 14th century, there is a developed market for Salmon and Herring. The University was founded in 1451. In the 17th century, a wharf was built in Broomielaw. At the beginning of the 19th century, the era of the industrial revolution came. In the years 1870 -1914, Glasgow was one of the richest cities in Europe. Ships, glass, paper, soap and chemicals were produced here, flax and cotton were processed. Popular tourist locations and places are the former Church of St.Andrewś in the Square, Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, Glasgow Cathedral, Glasgow Science Center and Glasgow Tower, SEC Armadillos.

Perth was the capital of Scotland in the Middle Ages. Dominant of the city of St. Matthews Church completed in 1871 which stands near the banks of the River Tay and Smeaton's Bridge. New Lanark

New Lanark

The village of New Lanark lies South East of Glasgow. The River Clyde flows through the village. In the 18th century, a cotton mill was founded here, due to its excellent location on the River Clyde, the factory used the water power of the river. The founder David Dale and his successor Robert Owen, founded and created an industrial community here, in which people lived in very good social conditions. New Lanark became a place that, thanks to the enlightened leadership of Robert Owen, was a prime example of industrial town and village building for over 200 years  New Lanark is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. https://www.newlanark.org/
